The Charlottesville demonstrations were viewed by some just as tool to gain better ratings from, and also as another chance to hate on Trump.
Our President was totally disrespected, as his statements against racism and supremacy groups were laughed at.
But there were people that tried to lift that target off conservative’s backs, fighting off the critics.
One of those people was Ben Carson, who didn’t wait to go on Facebook and destroy the haters! The left-wing got some shots coming at them, getting exposed. Christian News Report wrote an article about Carson and how he got through hatred in his neighborhood.
The Housing and Urban Development Secretary is a kind man. He recently spoke about the Charlottesville attacks, saying:
“Hatred and bigotry unfortunately still exists in our country and we must all continue to fight it, but let’s use the right tools…That is the likely outcome if we just learn to be neighborly and to get to know each other.”
But he has a deeper story to dig from, as he explained recently. When he lived in Maryland, one neighbor had a Confederate flag in his backyard. Other people close to him found that disturbing, pressured him and made him remove it.
Carson and his family reached out to him, trying to be friendly. Instead of shaming him, they got to know him. The flag had a special meaning to him, so that is why he had put it up. He didn’t support nationalism or something, he just wanted to fulfill his soul.
This is why we often forget about the Left and their disrespect. The mainstream media does not report stories like this one, because it will hurt them and their profits. Let this teach us there is more in life than what we see on TV, and let’s live by morals and ethics.
We can fight racism, but with proper tools – as Carson said. Instead of bringing down monuments, let’s settle for dialogue. Freedom will always find it’s way, we just need to stay dedicated.
