President Trump is running out of tolerance regarding the delaying from the Congress.
Apparently, he is determined to fix the issue regarding the healthcare.
His plan is to give an executive order to offer “alternatives” to the Obamacare and to lower down the price of the premiums.
According to Christian News Alerts, President Trump stated: “The time has come to give Americans the freedom to purchase health insurance across state lines, which will create a truly competitive national marketplace that will bring costs way down and provide far better care.”
He is planning to address the Secretary of Labor, to begin with increasing the access to Association Health Plans. This should enable the option for the employers to create groups who will help with the negotiation for more competitive plans.
Trump stated: “They will be able to buy and cross state lines. They will get great competitive health care and it will cost the United States nothing. Take care of a big percentage of the people we are talking about.”
He already received the support from the president of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, Dirk Van Dongen, who stated: “Small to midsize businesses have very little leverage in the insurance market. Anything that allows them to amalgamate their purchasing power will be helpful.”
Also, Trump administration is working to enable the option for the clients to buy less expensive coverage as a secondary to conventional plans. Regarding this, the US Chamber of Commerce stated that this would “serve an important purpose for consumers” who are in-between jobs.
After GOP failed several times to legislate or reform Obamacare, Trump had to give the executive order to deal with this matter. Back in July, Rand Paul assumed that this would happen, mainly because the president considered to do something about the passive position of the Congress.
President Trump tweeted: “Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people – FAST.”
Furthermore, Paul affirmed his work together with Trump to give his executive order, which is very similar to what Paul suggested regarding the Association Health Plans. His proposed idea would allow the small businesses and individuals to gather together, no matter of their state line and negotiate for better plans.
It was expected from the president to take a step forward and remove the failed Obamacare, and come up with a much better plan for the Americans.
