We live in country based on the principles of freedom and democracy, but how does that help if some people are still stubborn till this day?
Nobody should have the chance to tamper with someone’s life, especially not if he doesn’t comply with some rules or standards previously set.
This is what happened to a woman who wanted to share her story with the rest of the world.
You probably notice how things are run in the mainstream media – everything concerning conservatives is left out, expect if it is a story on a ‘crime we committed’. Well it’s the opposite with liberals, and if you don’t follow their wishes it won’t end well for you – just like a reader of Allen B. West.
He read and liked a story they had written, but what happened next is shocking – we bring you the full email that was sent:
Dear Mr. West.
Today, I was terminated from my job; My job was to be a part of a fellowship set out to develop a just transition for Appalachia. My specific job was focused on being an advocate for policy, food access, and economic development in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee, located in central Appalachia.
The Appalachian Transition Fellowship, part of the Highlander Research and Education Center of New Market, TN says it “will increase the entire region’s capacity to accelerate this economic transition, while simultaneously fostering multi-generational leaders who will carry that work forward in real and lasting ways.”
Today, I was terminated from my job for not following the views of the fellowship by posting (on my Facebook page) your article titled “…here’s what really happened in Charlottesville.”—the views that align with their partners, the Black Lives Matter Movement.
When I joined this fellowship, I was never informed by the directors of its affiliations. If I had, I would have never been part of such disarray. My husband, a 19-year veteran of VA sheriff’s offices and a United States Air Force Veteran would not have condoned this position. I never would have shared that article if I disagreed with anything documented within. I felt that you spoke the only true words of wisdom within the turmoil flooding from the Charlottesville riots.
I shared this post because it resonated with me. I felt that it should have resonated with my colleagues, though apparently it shouldn’t have. The words spoken by the first commenter in my post was a coworker of mine that was present supporting the counter protest in Charlottesville. The reason I am contacting you is for your help.
I will not stand down and be afraid of these people because MY ACTUAL VIEWS OF EQUALITY do not match up with their false views. Please help me understand how to handle this situation. This cannot continue. I know it, you know it, and the nation knows it. If you have had time to review this message, I pray you have the time to lend your wisdom and aid us in what my family and I should do in this mad situation.
Sincerely, Jennifer Roop.
Wow, we are purely surprised. To get fired is one thing, and we know it hurts, but to feel that just because you decided to share your opinion… it is a scary thought. It’s like me getting criticism from my employer for writing a sentence here that fits my points of view. It is totally immoral.
The woman was punished because she didn’t agree with a group linked with vandalism and other non-ethical behavior. As she wrote, she should not be afraid to stand up against the people because she doesn’t share the same thoughts.
It is a great, motivating and inspiring story – share it with your friends so they wish this unlucky woman the best regards!
