President Donald Trump is still on his twelve-days trip to Asia.
During his stop at Da Nang in Vietnam, he held a speech where he commemorated Veterans Day and showed his respect to the military veterans.
In his speech, Trump was accompanied by several veterans.
Among the Veterans was Morgan, who gave a speech that was so heartwarming that he couldn’t hold his tears. He explained how grateful he is for the president.
Morgan started by saying: “Mr. President, from my heart, thank you for your support of the military, and it’s an honor to be here as one of seven Vietnam veterans representing the 58,000 heroes who never made it home.”
We can see from the video that after Morgan finished, Trump hugged him showing how much he appreciate what he said.
During his speech, Trump stated: “Our veterans are a national treasure, and I thank them all for their service, sacrifice, and patriotism.”
“To each of you with me today, you are the heroes who fulfill your duty to our nation. And each of you, under the most difficult conditions, did what you had to do, and you did it well,” he added.
Until now, Trump has shown utmost respect to the military veterans who risked everything so that this country can be safe.
Furthermore, Trump referred to Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin, by saying: “Dr. Shulkin has done an amazing job with choice and accountability and so many other things that we are doing and in the process of doing. The Veterans Administration is a whole different place.”
President Trump has a different approach when it comes to leading the country, but so far we’ve witnessed that he is doing a pretty good job. The respect that he received from the foreign leaders during his trip is what this country needs.
